Simplicity and ease of use are the key features of this app. It can be used by walkers, cyclists, bikers or anyone travelling in a road vehicle, aircraft or boat anywhere in the world.When launched, it immediately displays a hybrid map (satellite imagery plus tracks and roads), homes in and shows your exact location, and for 7 seconds displays your latitude and longitude in decimal degrees and degrees/minutes/seconds.
If you move, the app continually refreshes the display, keeping you (shown by a blue dot) in the center.
You can pinch or spread to zoom out or in, and the app will remain at that zoom level as the display is refreshed. This means you can adjust the app's ground coverage to suit your speed of movement.
When you're stationary, you can drag or flick the screen to move across the map and view the terrain in any direction. Once you start moving again, the app will automatically re-center the map on your location.
There is a "Home Control" button at top right of the display. Tapping this will return the map to centre on you and will also briefly display your latitude and longitude.
You really could not ask for a simpler or more effective app.
